About the position

As a Junior Operations Research & Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for formulating and applying mathematical modeling and optimizing methods to assist management in decision-making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions. This role involves collecting and analyzing data to develop decision support software, services, or products. You will also be tasked with developing optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation. In addition to these responsibilities, you will document and explain organizational structures, processes, data flows, systems, and services. A key aspect of your role will be to match information technology systems with business processes, supporting Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Portfolio Management. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that the organization can effectively utilize data and technology to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve organizational goals. You will be expected to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring that your analyses and recommendations are understood and actionable.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and optimizing methods to assist management with decision-making.
  • Collect and analyze data to develop decision support software, services, or products.

Requirements

  • Up to 3 years experience directly related to the responsibilities of this role.
  • Experience in assisting and/or performing the listed functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
  • An active DOD TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Military Intelligence experience
  • Familiar with Enterprise Architecture or Modeling & Simulation principles
  • Experience with DoDAF Framework and the Cameo Enterprise Architect tool is a plus.
