About the position

The Junior Oracle HCM Cloud Developer II at Cherokee Federal is responsible for designing, implementing, and updating applications that enhance business operations. This role involves creating custom features, deploying new tools, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing tailored solutions within Oracle HCM to users. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and the ability to efficiently handle complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure solutions are operational 24x7 to meet operational service level agreements.
  • Provide technical support for Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Support Oracle OIC Integration for the Enterprise Organization.
  • Plan and perform research and design assessments in an assigned Oracle technical area.
  • Define and analyze problems, gather information, and provide solutions to resolve issues.
  • Code and develop applications according to specifications defined by business analysts.
  • Write technical and end-user documentation and instructions for ongoing support.
  • Manage code changes using version control.
  • Communicate work item statuses to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Incorporate best practices including SOA, enterprise service bus, security, and performance.
  • Review and extend the design of web application security throughout the solution.
  • Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to provide workload estimates for development projects.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and 3 to 5 years of solution design or programming experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience with Oracle Cloud HCM & Payroll.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with PL SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and interface with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder able to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripted languages.
  • Advanced knowledge of source control and branching strategies.
  • Technical Oracle experience with OIC.
