Our experienced and friendly team of lawyers is passionate about helping clients navigate the complex US immigration system with personalized consultations, guidance, and high-quality legal representation. We provide a range of services, including visa applications, permanent residency, citizenship, compliance, and litigation. The Junior Immigration Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by managing various tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position requires strong time management and organizational skills, as well as excellent writing abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in a team-oriented environment to meet client objectives related to their foreign national employees. This role is primarily office-based, requiring the candidate to be in the Salem, MA office at least four days a week, with the possibility of five days. Candidates must be in commuting distance to Salem, MA, and will be expected to provide at least two references as part of the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with immigration-related tasks and documentation.
  • Manage case files and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of findings.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents as needed.
  • Communicate with clients and government agencies regarding case status and requirements.
  • Maintain organized records and files for all cases.
  • Support the team in meeting deadlines and client objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field; must provide transcript.
  • Experience within immigration law is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and discretion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
