About the position

The Junior Paralegal at Vertical Bridge Management LLC is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the corporate legal department and facilitate the real estate transaction process. This role involves ordering and reviewing title commitments prepared by the title company, identifying any requirements and exceptions necessary to obtain a clear title policy. The Junior Paralegal will also review surveys in accordance with company requirements and draft various legal documents, ensuring proper routing and tracking to the final recording of documents in the public record. In addition to these responsibilities, the Junior Paralegal will perform general real estate diligence review functions for properties that are acquired, owned, or operated by the company. This includes preparing company entity agreements and maintaining corporate records for various business structures such as corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. The position requires close collaboration with internal departments and teams to address various legal issues, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment is essential. The role also involves providing administrative support to the corporate legal department, which includes processing incoming mail, submitting documents for recording, and maintaining digital and physical documentation related to real estate transactions. The Junior Paralegal will assist in ensuring compliance with company loan covenants and insurance requirements under tenant leases, while also providing backup assistance to the Legal Administrative Assistant as needed. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and is primarily office-based with minimal travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Order and review title commitments prepared by the title company.
  • Identify requirements and exceptions needed to obtain a clear title policy.
  • Review surveys in accordance with company requirements.
  • Draft various legal documents and facilitate document routing and tracking to final recording in the public record.
  • Perform general real estate diligence review functions for properties acquired, owned, or operated by the Company.
  • Prepare company entity agreements and maintain corporate records for corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
  • Provide administrative support to the corporate legal department, including processing incoming mail and tracking documents for recording.
  • Perform basic title reviews and assist paralegals in clearing requirements and exceptions for properties.
  • Order surveys and review them to ensure corporate standards are met.
  • Draft real estate closing documentation in accordance with local and state requirements and route for execution.
  • Maintain digital and physical real estate documentation and ensure accurate receipt of ground interest documents and title policies.
  • Maintain an insurance database and ensure tenant compliance with insurance requirements under leases.
  • Provide backup assistance to the Legal Administrative Assistant and support the Legal Team with real estate issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a real estate and/or corporate legal department.
  • Prefer paralegal certification or Certified Legal Assistant.
  • Strong organizational skills with a positive, high-energy mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with supervisors, clients, colleagues, and vendors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the wireless communication or real estate industry.
