About the position

At STG Design, we are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Project Designer to join our forward-thinking studio in Nashville. As a Junior Project Designer, you will have the opportunity to develop design solutions and coordinate projects through all phases, from early concepts to construction administration. In this role, you will participate in all phases of design, developing design presentations and 3D renderings, assisting with construction document preparation, and providing input during charrettes to test potential designs. You will work closely with a Project Architect to document design components and details, and support the development of strong client relationships as a project team member. This position is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, has strong communication skills, and is excited about creating beautiful and functional architecture tailored to each client's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of design from early concepts through construction administration.
  • Develop design presentations and 3D renderings.
  • Assist with construction document preparation.
  • Provide input at charrettes to test potential designs.
  • Work with a Project Architect to document design components and details.
  • Participate in the development of 2D/3D graphics, presentations, and other collateral to convey design ideas to clients and project teams.
  • Support the development of strong client relationships as a project team member.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 1-2 years of related design experience.
  • Top-notch graphics and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Revit and knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Technology forward thinking.
  • Able to support concurrent projects in varying phases of design and project delivery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient in Rhino and Enscape preferred.
  • Working knowledge of parametric modeling (Grasshopper, Dynamo) a plus.
