About the position

The Junior QA Tester/Analyst will be responsible for driving QA planning, tracking, and reporting for projects, specifically for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). This role involves executing test lifecycle deliverables, creating and documenting test plans, and ensuring successful implementation of test strategies. The position is expected to be long-term, with a focus on collaboration with various teams and adherence to QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive overall QA planning, tracking, and reporting for project(s).
• Execute test lifecycle deliverables per standard methodology and procedures.
• Create and document test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Analyze test results and report problems and anomalies.
• Operate in an Agile approach to support testing needs.
• Ensure test cases are properly formulated and follow QA standards.
• Collaborate with business partners, PMO, and vendor technical delivery teams.
• Notify management about bottlenecks and other issues and risks.
• Assist in the development of UAT test scenarios.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and demos.
• Report weekly status to the Quality Assurance Testing Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar.
• At least three (3) years of experience with testing in software development projects.
• Experience in midscale or largescale system development projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Experience in documenting Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Experience with GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, JIRA.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with mobile device testing.
• Preferred experience with public sector projects.
• Training or software testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CAST.
