About the position

The Rehancement Group, Inc. (TRG) is seeking Junior Records Consultants to join our team in supporting a Federal client in Winchester, VA for the 2nd shift, which runs from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. This position is critical in ensuring the proper management and handling of records, requiring an Active Top Secret Security Clearance. The role involves a variety of tasks aimed at preparing, scanning, and managing hard copy records, ensuring they are accurately processed and stored in compliance with established guidelines. As a Junior Records Consultant, you will be responsible for preparing hard copy records for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and binder clips, and reassembling physical files to their original condition. You will also scan hard-copy files into electronic images, burn project CDs, file mail, and retrieve and return files to their designated shelves. Additionally, you will box records for shipment, check the eligibility of files for transfer, and destroy records as necessary. Your role will also include creating records inventories and performing data entry tasks. You will conduct page-by-page reviews of files, appropriately identifying and marking records for further review by classification staff, and inventorying records. The position may also require you to conduct other analytical records management-related functions as requested by your supervisors. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and organization of records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hard copy records for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and binder clips, and reassembling physical files.

  • Box records for shipment and check date of file for transfer eligibility.

  • Box records for shipments, verify date of files for transfer eligibility, and palletize records for shipment.
  • Conduct other analytical records management-related functions as requested.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience required.
  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance is required (must be eligible for CI Poly).
  • Ability to independently perform assigned records management functions.
  • Ability to responsibly access, research and utilize application(s) and database(s), including but not limited to, Content Manager, Sentinel, HR Source, DIVS, and CATS.
  • Ability to perform research and analysis on documents based on established business rules and security policies.
  • Competency in organizing and maintaining files, records, and database/recordkeeping systems.
  • Capable of performing quantitative and qualitative type work that is measured in final product and/or production for some tasks.
  • Capable of drafting various documents and correspondence and possess basic proficiency in receiving/sending communications via telephone, e-mail, and other communication systems.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word, to track, monitor, and develop stats/reports for assigned tasks.
  • Ability to understand and follow policy guidelines for assigned tasks.
