About the position

The Junior Research Analyst position at ManTech involves providing all-source research and analytical support as part of an agile team. The role focuses on analyzing transnational criminal organizations and drug trafficking, synthesizing intelligence data, and delivering critical information to support law enforcement operations. The analyst will be responsible for developing intelligence products and workflows that enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide identification and analysis of transnational criminal organizations and drug trafficking organizations, including their means, methods, and routes.
• Research and analyze intelligence data in the counterterrorism threat stream, synthesizing information into relationship networks and threat priorities.
• Evaluate the confidence level and completeness of intelligence information.
• Research additional sources such as trade, travel, criminal activity, and money movement to isolate threats to US security.
• Produce assigned and self-initiated intelligence products based on an understanding of threats, conditions, and trends.
• Communicate complex ideas and assessments to coordinate intelligence and operational elements within law enforcement authorities.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience, an Associate's degree and at least 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma and at least 6 years of experience is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in understanding large, complex transaction data.
• Experience with Intelligence Analysis.
• Experience in community and threat identification.
• Experience presenting work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience evaluating uncertainty in relationship data.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in law enforcement or a classified intelligence analysis environment.
