Responsibilities

  • Conduct business-to-business cold calling to meet potential clients and educate them on supplemental insurance benefits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, addressing their insurance needs and expanding your book of business.
  • Update reports, records, and bookkeeping systems to accurately track progress toward monthly sales goals.
  • Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to meet individual customer needs.
  • Stay informed about changes in rules or policies within the insurance agency to amend insurance programs for clients.
  • Implement marketing strategies, including cold calling and networking, to connect with potential clients while maintaining a portfolio of current clients.
  • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients to present suitable insurance policies based on their circumstances.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4 years of professional work experience or relevant specialized outside sales experience.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Life & Health Insurance License (licensing reimbursement offered).
  • Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, are required.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service experience are beneficial.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in software sales or outside sales.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry and related regulations.
