About the position

T2S Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing software applications while ensuring effective documentation and collaboration with product managers. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of software development principles and be eager to contribute to innovative solutions that improve internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug complex software and provide enhancements to existing software.
• Develop and ensure effective software technical documentation.
• Develop innovative software applications that improve & streamline internal lab testing capabilities & processes extensively using code reuse & agility principles.
• Write automated tests to ensure new features function and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers to develop software solutions to align with project goals.
• Work with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems.
• Assist in the training of less experienced software development staff and may act as a team leader on less complex projects.
• Utilize sound software Configuration Management (CM) to capture & track updates for existing software products and maintain a data repository of code functions & objects.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• 1-3 years of software development experience required.
• DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
• Programming and development experience using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Android SDK.
• Experience with Front-End libraries (Vue, Angular, React).
• Software version control experience.

Nice-to-haves

• C++ experience.
• Familiarity with Git and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience with Jenkins and IntelliJ IDE.
• Knowledge of CMake and OMG Data Distribution Service (DDS).
