As part of our dynamic consulting team, you will provide planning and program support for various projects, including large-scale technology modernization and operations & maintenance functions for our federal government clients. Your primary focus will be on software testing, but you will also engage in functional IT analysis, design, and integration. You will assist in all project phases and research best practices to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, data-driven, action-oriented, and possess strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing test strategies and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications
  • Estimating test case writing and execution effort and keeping track of own progress
  • Test case authoring and holding test case reviews with stakeholders
  • Execution of test cases including functional and regression tests for both web applications and database
  • Identifying regression test candidates for automation and automating those test cases
  • Improving and maintaining the existing automated tests and adding new automated tests
  • Understanding and implementing coding standards in test automation
  • Reporting defects, tracking, validating and closing
  • Recording test results and reporting them
  • Participation in daily scrum meetings and weekly test team meetings
  • Supporting our metrics program by keeping track and metrics on all activities

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship, able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Public Trust clearance
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related fields, or equivalent experience in software testing
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Executive IT, Business Leadership, or the Federal Government
  • Professional meeting and presentation preparation (materials creation, data visualization, logistics)
  • Experience working in the financial services or the professional services industry
  • Project Support or Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of standard IT methodologies and processes, such as PMBOK, Prince2, Six Sigma, CMMI, Agile, Product Management and Systems Development Life Cycles
