The Junior Solutions Engineer role at Roadrunner Freight is designed for recent graduates to gain experience across various departments while developing expertise in Less-than-Truckload (LTL) operations. The position focuses on driving customer service and operational excellence through data-driven insights and collaborative efforts with stakeholders. The successful candidate will engage in process improvement initiatives, utilizing analytical skills to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data to uncover insights that increase efficiency, reduce mileage, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
• Apply rigorous logic and proven engineering principles to achieve project objectives.
• Continuously search for opportunities to improve operational execution and profitability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, users, leadership, and IT to develop tools.
• Create performance reporting to identify opportunities for cost control and meeting operational objectives.
• Identify and remove barriers to successful process improvements that lead to cost reduction.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel and Access/SQL.
• Excellent data navigation, interpretation, and quantitative analysis skills.
• Recent graduate (within the last 3 years) with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or a similar field.
• Experience with continuous improvement and process management principles.
• Ability to deal with complexity and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel as business needs require.
