About the position

As a Junior System Analyst at Central Valley Ag, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development team by writing customized code tailored for ASI owners and clients. Your primary focus will be on producing specialized reports, imports, and procedures that aim to enhance the productivity of the company while minimizing errors. This position is essential for ensuring that the systems in place are efficient and effective in meeting the operational needs of the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for data gathering and analysis of existing methods and procedures. You will provide design recommendations in the form of user proposals, operational instructions, and detailed computer program specifications. Your work will also involve implementation and support tasks, which include systems testing, user training, and participation in special projects. You will assist in conducting thorough analyses of operations and contribute to the development of procedural manuals, ensuring that users are well-trained on the requirements for automated systems. Additionally, you will prepare analyses that reflect workflow, external verification, and output requirements. A key part of your responsibilities will be to review and revise existing systems to increase their efficiency. You will also be tasked with maintaining departmental records and reports, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Other duties may be assigned as needed, providing you with a diverse range of tasks to support the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development team with writing customized code for ASI owners and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in systems analysis, computer programming, or a related field with one year of experience; or
  • High school diploma or GED with five years of experience in computer programming or related fields, including three years in developing procedures for automated systems; or
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of automated and manual administration policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the application of systems approach to operational or informational requirements.
  • Good knowledge of organizational structure and its relation to work and data flow.
