About the position

As a Junior Systems Engineer/Architect specializing in Sensor Integration at Peraton, you will be part of a dynamic Enterprise Engineering team located in Springfield or Chantilly, VA. This role is critical in supporting the Government's National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) by providing systems engineering and integration support for the Sensor Integration (TIS) Office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the design and development of solutions for complex application problems, which includes API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure that new sensor capabilities are effectively integrated into the Enterprise architecture, aligning with user requirements and strategic goals. In this position, you will engage in various engineering tasks that require a solid understanding of systems engineering principles. You will be expected to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance the capabilities of the NGA's sensor systems. Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of solutions for complex application problems.
  • Assist in API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services.
  • Provide systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integration (TIS) Office.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.
  • Align solutions with user requirements and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields (engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree).
  • 0 to 6 years of experience in systems engineering in government or industry.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Cameo architecture tool or similar tools.
  • Experience with or in-depth understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
