About the position

The Junior Technical Recruiter at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) plays a crucial role in supporting the recruitment of top talent for the NEYA division. This position involves collaborating with engineers and scientists to fulfill the company's mission of innovation and excellence. The recruiter will be responsible for various recruitment tasks, including candidate screenings, scheduling interviews, and participating in career fairs, all while ensuring a positive onboarding experience for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Draft communications materials pertaining to job postings and/or emails to candidates
  • Conduct candidate phone screenings and conduct candidate reference checks
  • Review applications, screen candidates and/or disposition candidate status
  • Work closely with the Hiring Managers to schedule interviews, effectively move candidates through the recruiting process and follow compliance requirements
  • Coordinate and participate in career fairs by tracking upcoming events, registering attendees, and managing the organization of materials upon return
  • Assist with the onboarding process, to ensure new hires have a positive and timely onboarding experience
  • Provide support & perform other general clerical duties as required by the HR Administrator
  • Build and expand a pipeline of talent for future business needs and maintain relationships with active and passive candidates and third-party agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree along with .5-2 years relevant work experience, equivalent professional experience (at least 6 years) will be considered for talented candidates without a degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with recruiting in the following industries and fields: Computer sciences, Robotics, Engineering/Science, Technical Fields
  • Desire to be on the phone most days, screening candidates and building relationships
  • Strong communication skills are a must as well as being flexible and open minded to new ideas and collaborative feedback
  • Effective interpersonal, time management and organization skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to create and edit files in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office Applications

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior UltiPro Recruiting ATS experience
  • Previous experience working in Government and/or the Defense Industry
