Our client in Miami, FL is seeking Junior Underwriters to join their team, which supports B2B loans. The team operates in a professional office environment located in Downtown Doral, where employees work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST. The Junior Underwriters will work in a casual, fast-paced office environment, collaborating within cooperative teams to ensure that clients receive the working capital they need to grow their businesses. The role involves auditing and reviewing bank statements and application submissions with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. Candidates will be expected to quickly interpret bank statements for key information, identify trends that may increase underwriting risk, and review various financial records as part of the underwriting process. Responsibilities

  • Accurately and thoroughly audit/review bank statements and application submissions.
  • Quickly interpret bank statements for key information such as average daily balances, debits, revenue credits, negative days, NSF's, number of deposits, and other criteria as determined.
  • Identify and flag any trends that may increase underwriting risk.
  • Review credit and business scores, ownership records, mortgage or lease records, site inspections, or other factors used by senior underwriters.
  • Successfully meet or exceed all company established performance/production metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, accurately, and quickly while focusing on details.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in the use of Excel; able to navigate Excel spreadsheets.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
