About the position

The Junior Wi-Fi Test Engineer position is focused on testing and validating Wi-Fi technologies and protocols. The role involves working with various WLAN standards and security protocols, as well as developing testing tools and strategies to ensure optimal performance and stability of Wi-Fi networks.

Responsibilities

  • Test and validate WLAN protocols including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
  • Implement and analyze security protocols such as WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1X.
  • Work with Wi-Fi extenders and mesh networking protocols like 802.11k and 802.11v.
  • Design test beds and develop test strategies for Wi-Fi testing.
  • Develop tools for Wi-Fi testing and analysis.
  • Utilize Wi-Fi sniffers and packet capture tools for performance analysis.
  • Conduct throughput, performance, stability, and stress testing on WLAN.
  • Use tools such as spectrum analyzers, Ixia, attenuators, Omni peek, Wireshark, Spirent, and RF equipment for testing.

Requirements

  • Experience with WLAN protocols such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
  • Knowledge of security protocols including WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1X.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi extenders and mesh networking protocols like 802.11k and 802.11v.
  • Good knowledge of test bed design and test strategy development.
  • Ability to develop tools for Wi-Fi testing.
  • Experience with Linux and coding in any programming language.
  • Strong analytical skills with Wi-Fi sniffers and packet capture tools.
  • Experience in throughput, performance, stability, and stress testing of WLAN.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as spectrum analyzers, Ixia, attenuators, Omni peek, Wireshark, Spirent, and RF equipment.
