About the position

The Juniper Network Engineer position in Orlando, FL, is a contract role that requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of hands-on troubleshooting experience in various network environments, including Enterprise LAN, DC-LAN, WAN, and WLAN. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in managing network teams and will have a deep understanding of Juniper Network technologies, particularly in routing and switching. This role demands proficiency in wireless technologies, specifically Aruba, as well as experience with server load balancers such as F5 and Citrix. Additionally, knowledge of SDWAN and cloud networking is essential, along with familiarity with MPLS, DMVPN, and Quality of Service (QoS) protocols. The responsibilities include remote management and monitoring of network operations, providing 24x7 NOC support for large global clients with distributed data centers, LAN, WAN, and WLAN setups. The engineer will be expected to provide Level 3 and Level 4 support for incident and change management ticket resolution. This role also involves the creation of Method of Procedure (MOP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), as well as planning and executing the change management process. Performance tuning of network devices and the creation of SOPs are critical tasks, along with planning and performing upgrades of network devices. The engineer will collaborate with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for specific network products, providing technical inputs for customer service review reports. Furthermore, the engineer will assist the team in creating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, whether directly or indirectly involved in the incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting in Enterprise LAN, DC-LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
  • Manage and lead the network team effectively.
  • Handle Juniper Network technologies, focusing on routing and switching.
  • Support wireless technologies, particularly Aruba.
  • Work with server load balancers such as F5 and Citrix.
  • Implement and manage SDWAN solutions.
  • Oversee cloud networking operations.
  • Utilize MPLS, DMVPN, and QoS protocols in network management.
  • Manage DHCP, DNS, and IPAM services.
  • Implement and manage IPsec, VPNs, GRE, and NAT/PAT across various platforms.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise with routing protocols including RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and ISIS.
  • Show technical expertise in switching technologies such as VLAN, Trunking, Dot1.X, STP, HSRP, VRRP, and VTP.
  • Provide 24x7 NOC support for global clients with distributed network setups.
  • Deliver Level 3 and Level 4 support for incident/change management ticket resolution.
  • Create MOP/SOP and plan change management processes.
  • Perform performance tuning of network devices and create SOPs.
  • Plan and execute upgrades of network devices.
  • Collaborate with hardware/software vendors to resolve network issues.
  • Act as an SME and SPOC for specific network products, providing technical inputs for service reviews.
  • Assist in creating RCA reports for incidents.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience in Enterprise LAN, DC-LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
  • Strong experience in managing network teams.
  • Expertise in Juniper Network technologies (Routing & Switching).
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies, specifically Aruba.
  • Experience with server load balancers (F5/Citrix).
