About the position

The Juvenile Justice Specialist at Brightpoint plays a vital role in providing strength-based, trauma-informed case management services to youth involved in the juvenile justice system. This position focuses on a collaborative, wraparound approach to enhance protective factors such as emotional regulation and educational goals, aiming to support youth in achieving a safe and successful future. The specialist will work closely with families and various service providers to navigate the juvenile justice system and ensure coordinated services, all while maintaining thorough documentation of their work.

Responsibilities

• Provide strength-based, trauma-informed case management services to juvenile justice-involved youth.
• Meet with youth and families in their homes and community locations to deliver individualized services.
• Strengthen relationships and address trauma to build positive community connections.
• Assist youth and families in navigating the Juvenile Justice System.
• Collaborate with educational and workforce readiness programs, local probation departments, and mental health and substance abuse treatment providers.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment and service notes, using a web-based client services platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related social services field required.
• Experience working with juvenile justice-involved youth highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
• Clear and strength-based communication style, both verbally and in written communication, required.
• Understanding of trauma experienced by juvenile justice-involved youth.
