About the position

The Juvenile Probation Parole Specialist II is responsible for supervising and managing juvenile offenders on probation or parole. This role involves assessing the needs of juveniles, developing rehabilitation plans, and ensuring compliance with court orders. The specialist will work closely with families, schools, and community resources to support the juveniles' reintegration into society and reduce recidivism rates.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise juveniles on probation or parole to ensure compliance with court orders.
  • Conduct assessments to identify the needs and risks of juveniles.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans for juveniles.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to support juveniles.
  • Monitor progress and provide guidance to juveniles and their families.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for court hearings and case management.
  • Attend court hearings and provide testimony as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • Experience working with juvenile offenders or in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of juvenile justice system and community resources.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in social work or related field.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in case management or counseling.
