About the position

Clinton High School is looking for a dedicated Junior Varsity Baseball Coach for the 2024-2025 season. The ideal candidate will serve as a role model and teacher, focusing on both sport-specific skills and general life skills while effectively communicating with players, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Comply with MHSAA rules and off-season policies as well as department and district policies.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Varsity Coach and/or Athletic Director.
• Plan and execute well-organized practices.
• Develop character, commitment, and confidence in student athletes.
• Maintain effective pre-season and in-season conditioning programs.
• Model exemplary behavior toward players, parents, opponents, and officials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable about the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport.
• Ability to obtain current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Ability to work effectively with sport coaching staff, parents, and school staff.
• Experience working with high school-aged students preferred.
• Previous playing experience in High School or College preferred.
• Previous successful coaching experience.
