About the position

The K-12 Adaptive PE Teacher (APE) position in Corona, CA, is a full-time role focused on providing adapted physical education services to students aged 5-22 across two assigned schools. The teacher will work Monday to Friday, with a structured schedule of 40 hours per week, ensuring that all students receive the necessary support to engage in physical education tailored to their individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide adapted physical education services to students aged 5-22.
• Manage a caseload of students across two schools, with a schedule of 3 days at one school and 2 days at the other.
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Assess students' physical abilities and adapt activities accordingly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience as an Adaptive PE Teacher.
• California credential for Adapted Physical Education K-12.
