About the position
The K-12 Substitute Teacher at Hawaii Technology Academy Public Charter School is responsible for providing daily instruction to students in both face-to-face and online formats. This role emphasizes the well-being and safety of students while maintaining a conducive learning environment. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and innovative in their teaching methods, capable of delivering the curriculum effectively across various grade levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily face-to-face and online instruction to students based on a teacher's lesson plan.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of students while on campus.
- Take attendance at the start of each class.
- Maintain a functioning classroom environment.
- Utilize effective classroom management skills.
- Leave the classroom clean and organized.
- Teach the provided curriculum.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (preferred but not required).
- Experience in creating and delivering face-to-face and/or virtual courses in grades K-12.
- State and federal background clearance.
- TB clearance.
