About the position
The K-12 Tutor position at The Sapience is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and dedicated to helping students from elementary through high school succeed academically. This role involves providing personalized tutoring in a variety of subjects, with a strong emphasis on mathematics, particularly up to Algebra 2. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with students of different ages and learning styles, creating engaging and student-focused learning experiences that cater to individual needs. As a tutor, you will be responsible for tracking and assessing student progress, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to excel. The position offers flexibility, allowing for both in-person and virtual tutoring sessions, which can be tailored to fit the schedules of both the tutor and the students. The role requires a commitment to at least three shifts per week, with weekday hours from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and weekend hours from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additional hours may be available through virtual on-call tutoring, providing an opportunity for increased engagement with students. Candidates will have the option to work at one or both of the available locations in Las Vegas, NV, and flexibility in location is preferred. Responsibilities

Requirements
- Must have experience as a teacher, substitute teacher, adjunct professor, or hold a master's degree or higher in a relevant field, or be credentialed in an educational field.
- Proficiency in tutoring a range of subjects, with expertise in math (minimum Algebra 2).
- Availability for at least 3 shifts per week.
