About the position

Great Hearts Western Hills Lower School is seeking a dedicated and passionate K-2 Elementary Art Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our team. This position is set to start on December 1st, or earlier if possible, and is a full-time, temporary role. As a long-term substitute, you will serve as the lead teacher for first grade art classes, providing a high-quality educational experience to our young scholars. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to public education and a desire to foster a love for the arts in students. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that align with our classical liberal arts curriculum, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and support. You will work collaboratively with other teachers to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. Our teaching model emphasizes teamwork, where the Lead Teacher leads the classroom while the Apprentice Teacher supports and nurtures the students.
