About the position

Great Hearts Western Hills Lower School is seeking a dedicated and passionate K-2 Elementary Music Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our team. This position is set to start on March 15, 2025, or earlier if possible, and is located at our school in San Antonio, TX. As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible for leading music classes for students in grades K-2, ensuring that they receive a high-quality education in the arts. This role is full-time but temporary, and you will be expected to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. In this position, you will serve as the lead teacher for first-grade music classes, collaborating closely with other educators to create a nurturing and effective learning environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead music classes for K-2 students as a long-term substitute teacher.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Substitute Teaching Certification.
  • Experience working with students in a classroom setting (minimum 1 year).
  • Classroom management experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Ability to commute to San Antonio, TX 78245.
