About the position
The K-5 ESL Teacher at Global Educational Excellence is responsible for providing effective classroom instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL) to students in grades K-5. This role focuses on managing student behavior to create a safe and optimal learning environment while ensuring that educational materials and resources are effectively utilized. The teacher will work collaboratively with other educators to enhance student learning and achievement.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective K-5 classroom instruction in ESL for pupils.
- Manage materials and resources used for educating students.
- Maintain a safe and optimal learning environment by managing student behavior.
- Build meaningful, caring relationships with students to exert academic influence.
- Motivate students and influence their behaviors positively.
- Collaboratively create and execute clear instructional plans that produce strong results in student learning.
- Coordinate instruction within and across grade levels.
- Align curriculum, instruction, and assessments to meet individual student needs.
- Collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions.
- Design and utilize formative assessments to adjust instruction daily.
- Implement a tiered system of instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Meet applicable State certification and licensure requirements.
- Satisfactory criminal background check required.
