Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Inspect work performed by contracted vendors and shop mechanics.
- Adjust brakes and replace brake system parts, including air brake and anti-locking systems.
- Analyze and interpret computerized diagnostic equipment information.
- Check lighting and wiring mechanisms for proper functioning.
- Complete repair order paperwork and enter data into fleet information management system.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on motor vehicles and equipment.
- Prepare vehicles for use by checking required safety features.
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical systems, electronic ignitions, and fuel injection systems.
- Use computerized diagnostic analyzer systems for complex diagnostic work.
- Perform quality assurance/analysis on repaired vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
- Experience in automotive service and repair, particularly with fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret diagnostic equipment information.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and repair techniques.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and inspections of vehicles and equipment.
