About the position

The Kaiser Mental Health Workforce Accelerator Project Coordinator position at Seattle University is a full-time role that plays a crucial part in a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the mental health workforce in Washington State. This project is a partnership between Seattle University, Kaiser Permanente, the National Council for Wellbeing, and the Washington Council for Behavioral Health. The primary goal of this program is to increase the number of qualified mental health professionals with licensure while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in patient-facing mental health positions. The coordinator will work under the leadership of the co-chair Program/Technical Lead and the supervision of the MSW Program Director, focusing on the recruitment, placement, and retention of post-master level clinicians in partnering agencies to help them achieve their licensure. In this role, the coordinator will engage with critical stakeholders to support the collaborative implementation of the program. Responsibilities include recruiting, enrolling, and onboarding candidates, providers, and academic partners, ensuring that the recruitment and selection processes reflect the increasing diversity of clients and population needs. The coordinator will also be responsible for setting up new practicum sites and student placements in the online practicum management system, maintaining system information, and supporting and leading workshops and training sessions for candidates and providers. Additionally, the coordinator will assist post-master candidates in successfully passing their licensure exams and completing the necessary internship hours, while also completing program and placement site reports, including supervision hours.

Responsibilities

  • Engage critical stakeholders to support collaborative implementation of the program.
  • Recruit, enroll, and onboard candidates, providers, and academic partners.
  • Ensure candidate and placement site recruitment and selection reflects the increasing diversity of clients and population needs.
  • Set up new practicum sites and student placements in the online practicum management system; maintain system information by requesting information updates from users.
  • Support and lead workshops and trainings for candidates and providers.
  • Support post-Master candidates on the road to successfully passing licensure exam and completing necessary internship hours.
  • Complete Program and Placement site reports (including supervision hours).

Requirements

  • Master level degree.
  • Working experience and knowledge of Office Suite (Word, EXCEL, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability and/or experience using online data management systems.
  • Detail-oriented, particularly in projects related to data entry and data management.
  • Experience preparing and presenting workshops and presentations in person and/or virtually.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to meet University of Iowa Fleet Services standards.
