About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled Bilingual Kashmiri-English Phone Interpreter to join our team. This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on the lives of limited-English speakers, as well as the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between Kashmiri and English speakers across various industries, including healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, general business, law enforcement, court, and emergency services. In this role, you will handle calls on demand, ensuring that you convey the meaning of conversations accurately and professionally. You will be trained in the best practices of interpretation, and you will have access to ongoing support from a Senior Language Specialist and our Interpreter and Technology Help Desks. Your ability to process information quickly and recognize sensitive cultural differences will be essential in providing high-quality interpretation services. You will be expected to maintain a professional demeanor, follow established protocols, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity throughout your interpreting sessions. This position does not involve written translation; however, we encourage translators and other skilled linguists to apply. You will be working in a certified ASTM and ISO environment, and we offer numerous opportunities for advancement within the organization.
