About the position

KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas is offering an unpaid internship for Spring 2025, designed for students studying journalism, mass communications, communications, or related fields. Interns will gain hands-on experience and observational learning in the news production process, actively participating in the newsgathering process within the newsroom.

Responsibilities

• Gain an understanding of how news is produced from start to finish through observational learning and hands-on experience.
• Play an active role in the newsgathering process every day in the newsroom.
• Learn about photojournalism, production, producing, and editing.

Requirements

• Must be a rising junior or senior in college.
• Must receive college credit for the internship.
• Students studying journalism, TV production, or similar coursework are preferred.
