About the position

The Research and Technology Protection Lead at KBR plays a crucial role in safeguarding national security through innovative engineering and technology solutions. This position involves formulating research initiatives, conducting security reviews, and developing risk assessments to protect sensitive information and technologies. The role is integral to the National Security Solutions team, contributing to the design and optimization of defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and evaluate research initiatives and activities
• Conduct security reviews
• Develop Risk Assessment documents that identify security, counter-intelligence, and protection requirements
• Perform Vulnerability Assessments including foreign ownership/influence and financial concerns
• Develop and update Export Control Assessments that identify actual deliverables

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly security clearance
• Master's degree in Information Technology or related field
• 10+ years of experience working within the Intelligence Community (IC)
• Experience developing program security guidance documentation
• Ability to abstract complex ideas from data from multiple sources
• Experience interacting with senior leaders and R&D program managers
• Knowledge of information system security requirements and procedures

Nice-to-haves

• Doctorate Degree
• 15+ years of experience within the IC
• Ability to interview R&D managers to build program guidance
• Direct experience with technology R&D and emerging technology analysis
