About the position

The Regional Plant Operations Coordinator at Arrow Senior Living plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of the physical environment within the communities. This position is responsible for overseeing the Plant Operations and Housekeeping departments, ensuring that both operate efficiently and safely while adhering to budgetary guidelines. The Coordinator will step in for Plant Operations Directors as needed, ensuring that the standards of maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance are consistently upheld across all facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to resident satisfaction, addressing requests in a timely manner and maintaining a high level of service that aligns with the company’s philosophy of creating joy-filled memories for residents. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Coordinator will conduct daily inspections of the building and grounds, utilizing an online work order system to track repairs and requests. Safety is a top priority, and the Coordinator will be responsible for identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position also involves overseeing the inventory of maintenance supplies and conducting regular assessments of furniture, fixtures, and equipment. The Coordinator will lead special task forces to ensure departmental compliance and implement company-wide programs as necessary, all while presenting a professional demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to service and goodwill. This role is dynamic and requires flexibility, as the Coordinator may be called upon to assist in various capacities to ensure the success of the operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, supervisory experience, and a commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and step in for Plant Operations Directors to maintain high standards of maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance.
  • Oversee Plant Operations and Housekeeping departments, including budget, staffing, and compliance.
  • Maintain resident satisfaction with community and apartments, addressing requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure employee, guest, and resident safety by identifying potential hazards and managing emergencies.
  • Conduct daily inspections of building interiors, exterior grounds, and outside equipment.
  • Utilize an online work order system to track repairs, requests, and ancillary charges.
  • Report maintenance concerns to the Regional Plant Operations Director immediately.
  • Oversee company-wide maintenance supply inventory and conduct regular assessments of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Ensure departments operate within budgetary guidelines and recommend capital expenditures.
  • Supervise and monitor all maintenance staff and contracting services.

Requirements

  • Certification and experience in HVAC highly recommended.
  • CPO certification and pool experience highly recommended, or willingness to become certified.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, floor/carpet care, and refurbishing required.
  • At least two years of experience in apartment or multiple unit maintenance with supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of current OSHA regulations.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and in good health, capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership and supervision with clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a clean driving record as per the insurance carrier's policy and be criminally cleared.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in senior housing preferred.
  • Landscaping experience is a plus.
