About the position

The Key Account Manager for Crop Science at SGS North America Inc. is responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, managing key accounts, and driving new business opportunities within the organization. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a deep understanding of client needs to enhance service offerings and improve market share.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain key accounts and develop new and emergent business opportunities.
  • Drive new service offerings within SGS businesses.
  • Educate customers on SGS Brookings service offerings.
  • Act as the commercial face and voice of SGS with clients, developing relationships and fielding inquiries.
  • Assist in proposal development and issuance, and complete regular visits to identified key accounts.
  • Identify key industry events and lead SGS presence at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Seek new service portfolio offerings based on a thorough understanding of client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Applied Sciences.
  • 3+ years in the Crop Science industry with experience in Sales/Marketing, Business Development, Key Account Management, Product Development, Client Services, Strategy, Operations, or Lab.
  • Clear knowledge of the seed and crop industry and client commercial interaction.
  • Experience working at large, multi-national corporations or mid-sized corporations serving as suppliers to on-farm inputs.
