About the position

The Key Account Manager (KAM) for the Global Account Program in Healthcare at Kuehne+Nagel is responsible for managing the end-to-end commercial customer journey for a dedicated portfolio of accounts. This role involves relationship management, business development, and acting as the primary representative of Kuehne+Nagel to the customer. The KAM will develop account strategies, maintain direct relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure that customer requirements are met through collaboration with various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of customers' organizational structure and decision-making processes.
  • Gain insights into customers' business models, industry landscapes, and competitive pressures.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and service contracts aligned with Kuehne+Nagel's business units.
  • Become an expert in Kuehne+Nagel's vertical service offerings and showcase their value to customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records within Kuehne+Nagel's CRM/CoreLog system.
  • Monitor monthly performance metrics including pipeline, wins/losses, RFPs, and financial KPIs.
  • Develop and implement account plans based on Kuehne+Nagel's Key Account Planning Process.
  • Seamlessly transition new business into operations to meet customer expectations.
  • Lead regular customer review sessions to explore continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in logistics or a related business field.
  • 5+ years of freight forwarding sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of international supply chain processes.
  • Experience with clients on a global scale.
