About the position

The Key Account Manager for the Global Account Program-Industrial at Kuehne+Nagel is responsible for managing key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with company targets. This role involves understanding customer needs, negotiating contracts, and utilizing expertise in logistics to drive customer success within a competitive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage key accounts in line with agreed targets and company guidelines.
  • Understand and navigate customer organizations, decision-making processes, and business environments.
  • Negotiate rates and service contracts, ensuring all commercial requirements are documented.
  • Utilize expert knowledge of vertical service offerings.
  • Adhere to sales management processes and maintain accurate updates in customer relationship management systems.
  • Monitor monthly performance metrics and take immediate corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive account plans, reviewed and approved by sales managers.
  • Ensure seamless transition of new business into operations.
  • Conduct regular review sessions with customers to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Global Account Sales experience
  • Experience with logistics processes and solutions
