About the position

As a Key Account Manager II at Imperial Supplies, you will play a crucial role in managing and strengthening relationships with our National accounts. This position operates under limited guidance and is responsible for executing a strategic sales process that includes presentation, analysis, implementation, and tracking of new products and programs. You will be expected to manage large National accounts to meet or exceed annual revenue budgets while operating within the annual expense budgets. Your role will involve defending Imperial's position as a strategic partner within the National account field, engaging in continuous communication, analyzing and identifying customer needs, and presenting opportunities for inventory control and cost savings. In this position, you will maintain partnerships with various decision-makers within National customers and develop, implement, and communicate sales plans to both internal and external partners. Ensuring proper account activity and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction will be key components of your responsibilities. You will also collaborate with the Marketing department regarding new products, sales promotions, pricing, and market leads, while analyzing competitors' sales strategies and offerings. Additionally, you will analyze customer activity and sales data to identify trends that will help defend, maintain, and grow National accounts. Working cross-functionally with internal partners, including the Sales Project Manager, will be essential for related projects. You will document and maintain records for each customer and major opportunity, assist in developing annual sales and expense budgets, and monitor variances and reporting trends. This role requires a minimum of 30% overnight travel, reflecting the need to engage with clients and partners effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large National accounts to meet or exceed annual revenue budgets and operate within annual expense budgets.
  • Defend Imperial's position as a strategic partner within National account field of play.
  • Engage in continuous communication, analyze/identify needs and present opportunities for inventory control and cost savings.
  • Maintain partnerships with various decision makers within National customers.

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction within customer base.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of experience in outside B2B sales.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of strategic/solution-driven sales process.
  • Three years of top-down, outside sales experience with large accounts in a similar industry.
