About the position

The Key Account Manager at Siemens Healthineers is responsible for managing relationships with prestigious large chain and integrated delivery network (IDN) organizations in the healthcare sector. This role focuses on the sales of diagnostic imaging products and services, requiring a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and the ability to engage with high-level decision-makers. The position involves developing long-term strategic plans, generating contracts, and maintaining relationships with C-Suite executives, while also navigating the complexities of healthcare legislation that impacts sales and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve business objectives for assigned territory, including product penetration.
  • Guide the development and execution of strategic account plans to meet business goals and budgets.
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with key management within customer organizations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how legislation impacts the healthcare business environment.
  • Assist management in devising sales plans and strategies, and develop forecasts and budgets for product sales channels.
  • Lead territory team reviews and updates of account plans based on market and customer conditions.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a related discipline or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience selling capital equipment into hospitals.
  • Consultative approach to customer with experience in developing and closing large contracts.
  • Experience carrying large quotas and working with long sales cycles, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
  • Experience with sales quotas and forecasting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of diagnostic imaging products and systems applications.
  • Hospital consultative services experience is a strong preference.
  • Extensive knowledge of the assigned major corporate customer.
  • Understanding of budget processes as they apply to customer buying decisions.
