About the position

The Key Account Manager for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. will operate within the Pacific Northwest region, focusing on behavioral health. This role is pivotal in understanding customer needs, developing strategies to enhance access to treatments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies. The position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, particularly in neuroscience, and aims to build partnerships that drive mutual success.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as an expert in behavioral health within geographical market environments.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, ecosystem operations, patient flow, access, and reimbursement.
  • Identify and develop strategies to address barriers to access.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative assessments to inform strategic plans.
  • Ensure strategic alignment to customer business objectives and align internal resources accordingly.
  • Collaborate on plan development and hold local coalition teams accountable for execution.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the behavioral health marketplace.
  • Deliver education on market access and operational requirements to support patient access.
  • Communicate the appropriate Value Proposition in Provider/Payer Accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute brand marketing strategies and manage pull-through.
  • Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Adhere to all company compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty United States.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, with at least five years in healthcare sales/account management.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of clinical knowledge on schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, depression, and other therapeutic areas.
  • Ability to analyze marketplaces and develop strategic insights.
  • Ability to collaborate, lead, and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • A minimum of two years of experience in the Neuroscience therapeutic area.
  • Experience with the reimbursement landscape for pharmaceuticals and/or devices.
  • Pharmaceutical account management experience with large accounts.
  • A Master's Degree in a related field or an MBA.
