About the position

The Key Account Manager for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. will operate within the Pacific Northwest region, focusing on behavioral health. This role is pivotal in understanding customer needs, developing strategies to enhance access to treatments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies. The position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, particularly in neuroscience, and aims to build partnerships that contribute to mutual success in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as an expert in behavioral health within geographical market environments.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, ecosystem operations, patient flow, access, and reimbursement within assigned geography.
  • Identify and develop strategies to address barriers to access.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative assessments to inform strategic plans for local market opportunities.
  • Ensure strategic alignment to both short and long-term customer business objectives and align internal resources to address stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate on plan development, align on responsibilities, and hold local coalition team accountable for plan execution.
  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with key individual stakeholders in the behavioral health marketplace.
  • Deliver education on market access and operational requirements to support patient access.
  • Ensure understanding of the appropriate Value Proposition in Provider/Payer Accounts.
  • Collaborate and lead action planning with internal stakeholders to meet brand marketing strategies and manage pull-through.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • A valid driver's license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of healthcare sales/account management experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of clinical knowledge on schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, depression, TRD, and other therapeutic areas in the behavioral healthcare environment.
  • Ability to analyze marketplaces and develop strategic marketplace insights.
  • Ability to collaborate, lead, and influence a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to travel, which may include overnight/weekend travel, up to 50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Neuroscience therapeutic area.
  • Experience and understanding of the reimbursement landscape for pharmaceuticals and/or devices.
  • Pharmaceutical account management experience with large independent hospitals or multi-million-dollar standalone accounts.
  • A Master's Degree in a related field or an MBA.
