About the position

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Key Account Manager to join our team at Actalent, the largest electrical motor manufacturer in the US. This is a direct-placement opportunity that offers the chance to manage key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for Commercial Motors. The ideal candidate will be based in New York, Pennsylvania, or Ohio and will focus on improving customer satisfaction while promoting share of wallet growth within the current customer base as well as new high-potential prospects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with Commercial Motors OEMs in the US from both a sales and application engineering standpoint. You will implement strategies that align customer needs with the full value proposition of our company, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving growth. This includes managing all commercial aspects such as volume forecasting, pricing, contract management, and commercial agreements. You will also oversee the product approval process, ensuring that products are successfully commercialized within the accounts. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with peers in Operations, Engineering, Finance, HR, and other functional areas to achieve results and drive continuous improvement. You will lead internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations, ensuring that requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans meet expectations. Additionally, you will gain a deep understanding of customer experiences, identify product gaps, and generate new ideas to enhance market share and improve customer experiences. Strategic discussions with OEMs will be essential to provide the best product strategy and guarantee a robust supply chain, leveraging our differentiated footprint to create value for customers. This position requires a proactive approach to identify win-win opportunities within accounts and engage customers early in new developments. Other duties and tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Commercial Motors OEMs in the US from a sales and application engineering standpoint.
  • Develop and implement a strategy that delivers customer satisfaction and promotes WEG's share of wallet growth in these customers.
  • Manage all commercial aspects including volume forecasting, pricing, contract management, and commercial agreements.
  • Manage the product approval process into the accounts, allowing the product to be commercialized.
  • Work closely with peers in Operations, Engineering, Finance, HR, and other functional areas to get results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations.
  • Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share and improve customer experience.
  • Promote and lead strategic discussions with the OEMs to provide the best footprint and product strategy to guarantee a robust supply chain.
  • Maintain a proactive approach identifying win-win opportunities in the account, engaging the customer in early stages of new developments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in sales - industrial, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (industrial/electrical/mechanical/manufacturing).
  • Knowledge of Motors and Power transmissions.
  • Ability to travel and manage own schedule.
  • Located in New York, Pennsylvania, or Ohio.
