About the position

The Key Account Manager - Technical at Fluid Metering is responsible for managing relationships with top Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction while driving profitable growth. This role involves collaboration with internal teams to meet technical and sales objectives, conducting customer training, and identifying new business opportunities. The position requires a strong engineering background and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for top OEM accounts, supporting existing relationships and driving growth.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Manufacturing on active projects to meet objectives.
  • Manage and lead recurring customer check-ins, collect feedback, and share insights with internal teams.
  • Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and feedback sessions to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize and manage customer training sessions and workshops to ensure proficiency in using Fluid Metering's products.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and resolve them before they impact the customer.
  • Facilitate regular business reviews with customers to discuss performance metrics and future needs.
  • Identify Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE) projects and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within assigned accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations to showcase Fluid Metering's capabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive long-term growth and customer loyalty.
  • Monitor account performance, generate reports, and track key metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to optimize profits.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field strongly desired.
  • Minimum five years' experience as an Account Executive, Key Account Manager, or Sales Account Manager.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Strong skills in CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce) and MS Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Experienced in delivering technical client-focused solutions and managing multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, written, and presentation skills.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
