About the position

The Key Account Manager (KAM) role at Syneos Health involves leading the launch of a novel treatment for pediatric patients with Congenital HyperInsulinism (CHI). The KAM will be responsible for building and managing relationships with key academic institutions, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) to drive demand and access for the product. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong account management leadership skills, capable of navigating a dynamic environment focused on patient-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive relationships with target institutions and community accounts, establishing positive relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
  • Build and manage account profiles for each assigned account, detailing procedures for protocol development and identifying key influencers.
  • Employ in-person tactics to execute account plans, including visiting accounts to promote sales efforts and provide clinical information.
  • Evaluate unique needs of Integrated Customers and collaborate with corporate functions to develop tactical strategies.
  • Lead efforts to obtain in-patient P&T formulary coverage and accomplish formulary wins.
  • Support patient access and reimbursement with Centers of Excellence and Regional Treatment Centers.
  • Develop performance dashboards to monitor product performance across target accounts.
  • Influence the formulary review process by coordinating resources from various departments.
  • Develop and execute pre-launch and post-launch business and account plans across the product portfolio.
  • Implement strategies to support Patient Access and Reimbursement across payer segments.
  • Gather information and create analyses to inform stakeholders of market dynamics and trends.
  • Represent the US Key Account Management Team at medical congress meetings and internally across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and US Healthcare laws.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree required
  • 10+ years of experience working with Institutions, IDNs, and/or GPOs
  • Previous experience in Pediatric and/or Rare Diseases, preferably in a start-up or small to mid-sized organization
  • Experience with drug device, infusion pumps, and/or DME products
  • Minimum of 10 years working with specialty pharmacies and HUBs
  • Contract management experience
  • Exceptional customer business planning and tactical planning skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
