About the position

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for representing TerSera products to healthcare professionals, establishing product sales, and managing accounts within a designated territory. The role focuses on patient access and reimbursement issues, serving as a resource for accounts and TerSera staff regarding reimbursement regulations and payer policies. The KAM is expected to develop strong customer relationships, achieve sales goals, and adhere to compliance policies while managing a promotional and operational budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
  • Promote TerSera products ethically and in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Address reimbursement issues related to TerSera products.
  • Build strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and communicating effectively with the team.
  • Serve as a resource on payer policies and reimbursement regulations.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals consistently.
  • Communicate territory activity accurately and timely to management.
  • Provide feedback on market changes to internal departments.
  • Adhere to compliance policies and complete all required training.
  • Manage efforts within the assigned budget and maximize resource use.
  • Contribute as a member of a high-performance team.
  • Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business or Science.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales territory independently.
  • Organizational and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Self-motivated and effective team communicator.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
  • Prior people management or management development coursework.
