About the position

The Key Account Manager - OEM at FUCHS Lubricants is responsible for driving growth in the Aftermarket business by leveraging market research, sales tools, and strategic planning. This role focuses on acquiring new accounts, expanding existing relationships, and collaborating with distributor representatives to enhance FUCHS' market presence. The position requires a proactive approach to understanding customer needs and applying solutions-based selling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new accounts and grow the existing customer base.
  • Work with distributor representatives to enhance FUCHS' market presence.
  • Identify and understand customer needs, evaluating business fit while applying a solutions-based approach to selling.
  • Obtain RFQs and other commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of FUCHS' OEM-related product portfolio and its applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to ensure customer awareness of related products and their technical requirements.
  • Operate within a global network and leverage insights from other geographies for the U.S. market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business Management, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in sales.
  • Strong decision-making and negotiation skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strategic vision and planning skills, proactive and goal-oriented.
  • Open-minded, diplomatic, team-spirited, and comfortable working with international colleagues.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% throughout the U.S.
  • Experience in lubricants and/or automotive industry is a plus.
