About the position

The Key Account Manager is responsible for overseeing cost estimation and financial evaluation activities for Gestamp's Chattanooga Plants. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance revenue and profitability while collaborating with team members to ensure project milestones are met and accurate quotes are delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the costing of quotations with Gestamp Plants according to established guidelines and manage the status of new opportunities and engineering changes.
  • Create and coordinate financial models to evaluate profitability of quotations for new business to ensure returns meet corporate targets.
  • Understand current manufacturing operations and standard costing rates used in quotations, including knowledge of capabilities and capacity at each location.
  • Support Gestamp Plants in developing cost assumptions for new products and business.
  • Create customer quotations, cost breakdowns, financial models, and other required forms.
  • Maintain customer price data in the system to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Support business planning needs with an understanding of long-term customer and pricing agreements.
  • Manage deliverables to Corporate Sales.
  • Work with the sales team to identify and outline quote parameters for new customer RFQs.
  • Participate in financial and quote review meetings with Gestamp Plants and Leadership.
  • Act as a strong interface and build relationships with customers, business units, and plants.
  • Attend customer and internal meetings as required.
  • Assist in the development of department standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate supporting quote documents, such as Bills of Material and Statement of Requirements.
  • Actively participate in the Business Planning process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience related to costing, financial modeling, and analysis.
  • Experience with metal stamping preferred.
  • Ability to represent Gestamp positively in direct customer interactions.
  • Experienced in standard costing procedures and requirements.
  • Knowledge of financial principles and ability to interpret financial models.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Understanding of IATF principles and requirements.

  • Experience in the automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria.
