About the position

As a Key Account Manager at IDEX, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers while overseeing sales activities within the specified territory for ADS customers. This role requires strong time management, relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will manage sales activities, develop pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction, all while contributing to the growth of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales activities in a specific sales region for ADS accounts.
  • Write sales proposals and quotes, lead proposal presentations, and develop pricing strategies.
  • Negotiate and procure sales contracts, delivering signed contracts to Operations.
  • Build relationships and develop strategies for regional accounts in conjunction with the Region Business Development Manager.
  • Participate in local industry associations and present technical papers at conferences and sales seminars.
  • Manage region trade show exhibits and sell concepts to municipal wastewater and consulting engineering customers.
  • Meet and exceed individual revenue thresholds while maintaining and growing sold margins.
  • Timely follow-up on leads generated through corporate and regional efforts for ADS accounts.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities in your region and report activities in the CRM.
  • Initiate project kick-off meetings prior to project start-up for ADS accounts.
  • Assist in contract interpretation and initial legal review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM field or equivalent technical degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time within the territory.
  • Minimum 3 years of related direct sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
