About the position

The Key Account Manager at Danfoss will be responsible for managing key accounts within the Climate Solutions organization, focusing on building and maintaining customer relationships. This role involves executing account strategies, coordinating activities to meet business targets, and driving sales growth in the Ohio Valley region. The position requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy aligned with the overall NAM Climate Solutions strategy and aligned with the Air Conditioning and Commercial Refrigeration (ACR) Perspective.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of key accounts, including their business strategy, product life cycle, organization, projects, decision-making processes, and key stakeholders.
  • Secure and maintain a quality opportunity pipeline in SalesForce CRM.
  • Support global platform projects as needed.
  • Coordinate all activities with customers' key decision-makers within NAM, including pricing, projects, support, quality, and supply chain.
  • Work to strengthen the Danfoss-Customer relationship at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Provide market information and intelligence, including market share details, business/product development opportunities, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Coordinate with regional Application Engineers, Business Development Managers, and other Lines of Business members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and/or marketing is required.
  • Must possess a technical aptitude, but need not be an engineer.
  • Key Account Planning skills in international B2B technical sales.
  • Proficient in the use of PIS Office Suite products.
  • Willing to travel regionally and internationally as the position requires; estimated to be 50%, mainly within the USA and occasionally internationally.
