About the position

The Key Account Manager (KAM) Sales Engineer at Leica Geosystems plays a crucial role in the onboarding of new customers by utilizing consultative training and support techniques. This position is pivotal in ensuring that clients fully understand and can effectively use the advanced technologies developed by Leica Geosystems for Reality Capture, survey, and measurement. The KAM Sales Engineer is expected to provide comprehensive technical demonstrations that showcase the capabilities of the products and solutions offered by the company. This involves a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to tailor presentations and training sessions accordingly. In addition to technical demonstrations, the KAM Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting new customer onboarding processes. This includes guiding clients through the initial stages of product implementation, addressing any questions or concerns they may have, and ensuring a smooth transition to using the technology in their operations. The role requires strong communication skills, as the KAM Sales Engineer will need to interact with various stakeholders, including technical teams and decision-makers within client organizations. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. However, it does require significant travel to customer sites, particularly in the eastern part of the United States, with travel expectations of up to 65%.
