The Key Account Manager (KAM) Sales Engineer at Leica Geosystems plays a crucial role in the onboarding of new customers by utilizing consultative training and support techniques. The KAM Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical demonstrations that showcase the capabilities of our products, ensuring that clients can see the value and application of our technologies in their specific contexts. In this role, the KAM Sales Engineer must possess a deep understanding of client needs and be able to tailor solutions that meet those needs effectively. This involves not only technical knowledge but also strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and understand their unique challenges. As this is a remote position, the KAM Sales Engineer will need to be self-motivated and capable of managing their time effectively. However, the role does require significant travel to customer sites in the eastern part of the United States, with travel expectations of up to 65%. This travel is essential for conducting in-person training sessions, technical demonstrations, and ongoing support to ensure that clients are fully equipped to utilize our technologies to their fullest potential.
